The price of LPG cylinder has also increased in other metros by a similar margin. In Kolkata, a commercial gas cylinder now costs Rs 1,839.50, up by Rs 203.50 from Rs 1,636.00. In Mumbai, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has risen by Rs 204 from Rs 1,482 to Rs 1,684 per cylinder. In Chennai, the price of commercial gas cylinder has gone up by Rs 203 from Rs 1,695 to Rs 1898.
What is the condition of domestic gas cylinders?
Interestingly, the government had slashed the price of domestic gas cylinder by a whopping Rs 200 just a month ago. Since then, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG on October 1. It remains at its old rate. Among the four metros, a 14.20 kg domestic gas cylinder is available for Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 929 in Kolkata, Rs 902.50 in Mumbai and Rs 918.50 in Chennai.
