Jayanti Ekka, who was earlier known by every child to old age of Orissa, is now entering politics.This simple woman from western Odisha once caught everyone’s attention through her speech on the stage of Make in Odisha Conclave.At the Mission Shakti Conclave, Jayanti Ekka won the hearts of Naveen Patnaik by talking about the livelihoods and struggles of women in her area.Even his eloquent speech forced the Chief Minister to get up from his seat and clap his hands.As a result, he became known at home in Odisha.

Jayanti’s controversial story as a member of a self-help group reached out to the public that day.Since then, he has been expected to join politics.However, in the current panchayat elections, he has begun his political career.Jayanti Ekka steps in to win the hearts of voters in her area as a district council candidate.He has been nominated for the ‘B’ seat in Balishankara, Sundargarh district. however, with the election of a popular female candidate, the politics of the district is in full swing.The BJP’s position in the district is not good. The BJP is lagging behind as the ruling party is leading in the selection of candidates. So far, 11 candidates from the BJD and 7 from the Congress and one from the BJP have filed nomination papers. Jayanti’s popularity is expected to be a headache for the BJP, which is lagging behind in the nomination process.
